Lilly Announced as Title Partner for All-Star Game and Inaugural Combine

March 31, 2025

TAMPA (March 31, 2025) – Intersport today announced Eli Lilly and Company as the title sponsor of this year’s Women’s College All-Star Game.  Lilly’s commitment also expands into the creation of the inaugural Lilly Women’s College All-Star Combine, allowing dozens of prospective professional athletes the opportunity to test, train and compete in front of scouts ahead of the WNBA Draft on April 14.

“Lilly is proud to sponsor the Women’s College All-Star Game and inaugural Women’s College All-Star Combine, and to use this sponsorship to build on work we launched earlier this year around the importance of early detection of breast cancer,” says Lina Polimeni, chief corporate brand officer at Eli Lilly and Company. “This event attracts a diverse group of fans from all over the country and allows us to bring greater awareness to what is most important to Lilly: our health.”

“We are incredibly proud to welcome Eli Lilly and Company as title partner for the Lilly Women’s College All-Star Combine and the Lilly Women’s College All-Star Game,” said Mark Starsiak, senior vice president at Intersport, which owns and operates the events. “Lilly’s passion and commitment to supporting these amazing athletes, as they pursue their professional dreams, matches our vision for this event. It is with Lilly’s support that we can elevate the experience for these standout athletes by launching the inaugural Lilly Women’s College All-Star Combine. In addition, the important work they do in supporting women’s health will add a critical component in our engagement with the participating athletes and surrounding Tampa community this weekend. We look forward to an exciting and meaningful partnership with Eli Lilly and Company.”

As part of Lilly’s commitment as a medicine company that puts health above all, the company will be offering free mammograms in Tampa to encourage breast cancer screening.

“Each year in the U.S., approximately one in eight women will receive the life-changing news that they have breast cancer. We know that screenings, including mammograms, are an effective way to detect breast cancer early, when treatments can be most successful,” says Jake Van Naarden, executive vice president and president, Lilly Oncology, Eli Lilly and Company. “According to the American Cancer Society, when localized breast cancer is detected early, the five-year survival rate can be as high as 99%1. Lilly is dedicated to ensuring women are aware of the importance of screenings and the impact it may have on their health. We are proud to highlight this at the Lilly Women’s College All-Star Combine, where athletes will wear jerseys featuring the number ‘99’ and we will be offering free mammograms in partnership with Black Health Matters.”

Kicking off the weekend festivities will be the Lilly Women’s College All-Star Combine, taking place on Friday. Draft-level prospects hoping to make one final impression will take part in general testing, position-specific drill work and controlled scrimmages in front of professional scouts.

The 2025 Lilly Women’s College All-Star Game is set for 3 p.m. ET on Saturday and will be televised live on ESPN2. The event will take place at Hillsborough Community College – Dale Mabry Campus in Tampa, where a capacity crowd is expected as part of championship weekend. Tickets for the event are on sale now and can be purchased at www.womenscollegeallstar.com/tickets.

Complete rosters for the Lilly Women’s College All-Star Game and Lilly Women’s College All-Star Combine will be announced in the coming days.

Last April, 20 of college basketball’s top senior standouts converged in Cleveland to rekindle the Women’s College All-Star Game that Intersport helped originally launch in 1998. There, five All-Americans, more than a dozen All-Conference standouts and four future WNBA draft picks competed in front of nearly 5,000 fans on the eve of the sport’s national championship game.
