Four Players Selected in WNBA Draft

Four players who took part in the Women’s College All-Star Game – Syracuse’s Dyaisha Fair, Mississippi State’s Jessika Carter, Indiana’s Mackenzie Holmes and Columbia’s Abbey Hsu – heard their names called at the 2024 WNBA Draft on Monday night.

Fair was the first player off the board at No. 16 overall to the Las Vegas Aces, while Carter was selected 23rd overall by the New York Liberty. Holmes was selected by the Seattle Storm at No. 26 and Hsu was picked 34th by the Connecticut Sun.

All four players were starters for their respective teams in the All-Star Game, with Fair scoring the game-winning basket for Team Lieberman, with Holmes providing the game-winning assist. Fair finished the game with 19 points, seven assists, six rebounds and three steals in 32 minutes, while Holmes finished with eight points and four boards. Hsu had six points and five rebounds for Team Lieberman, while Carter finished with six points, seven rebounds and two blocks for Team Miller.
